These injectable solutions work to temporarily stop the platysma muscle from contracting, and therefore release the downward pull on the lower face, which should give a lift to the jowls and reduce their appearance.
We have seen both male and female patients seeking this treatment, but there are some unique differences with their needs. Due to different levels of facial muscles and skin thickness, the amount of product needed will vary in order to achieve the desired outcome – larger muscles respond to larger doses.
