How can Botox be used to treat Worry Lines?

You’d refuse to believe me if I told you that I could stop you from worrying, but what if you could stop those worry lines from forming on your face? Botox can be used in a way that will relax the muscles in your forehead and brow that causes those lines to become more defined, leaving you looking less stressed and more youthful!

Botox injectionBy visiting your Dermatologist, you have the ability to set up a consultation to evaluate what results to expect from a botox treatment. “Consultation is one of the most important parts of your Botox treatment,” states Dr. Miriam Hanson, a board-certified Dermatologist in Austin, Texas. At this time it is best to discuss what your expectations from the treatment are in relation to the true timeline for results. For worry lines, Botox is typically used on the forehead and glabella, the area between the eyebrows. The medication softens the contraction of the muscles in the treated areas and smooths creases and fine lines.

“We have many patients that come in hoping to reduce the appearance of lines, as well as hoping to prevent them in the first place,” mentions Dr. Hanson. This a great area for your initial experiment with botox, as it is a great indicator of how your muscles react to the Botox.  “We have started to see a younger population of patients that are hoping to ward wrinkles, and leave their face looking relaxed,” Dr. Hanson adds.
