Austin Dermatology Practice Adds Two Innovative New Laser Technologies
Dr. Adam Mamelak and Dr. Miriam Hanson of Sanova Dermatology explain how their two new multi-platform lasers can create more comfortable and effective treatment options for many patients.
Austin, TX — Cosmetic treatments utilizing laser and radiofrequency (RF) technology can provide faster, more effective, and more comfortable experiences for patients, according to Austin dermatologists Adam Mamelak, MD and Miriam Hanson, MD. Their practice, Sanova Dermatology, recently acquired new equipment they say has allowed them to treat a broader range of patients.
In a recent blog post titled, “Comfortable and Effective Laser Treatment,” Drs. Hanson and Mamelak announced one of their newest lasers, the elōs Plus. The elōs Plus uses a combination of laser and RF technology designed to improve the results of treatment. The Austin dermatologists say the elōs Plus is extremely effective for laser hair removal, but they also use it for treatments such as skin rejuvenation, acne treatment, reduction of brown or red spots, and skin tightening.
In a follow-up blog post, Dr. Mamelak and Dr. Hanson discuss another new laser, the Candela® GentleYag Pro-U. The blog, titled, “Laser Treatment for All Skin Types,” explains how the GentleYag Pro-U can be used for laser hair removal on skin types that previously were unable to achieve effective results. The blog goes on to note how this revolutionary new equipment can be used for a multitude of other treatments, including skin tightening, nail fungus treatment, and treatment of ingrown facial hairs known as pseudofolliculitis barbae.
Ultimately, the dermatologists say they hope that with the addition of this new advanced equipment they can reach a wider population of patients and assist them in their unique needs. Drs.
