Give Your Feet Some Sugar | Homemade Foot Scrub

Homemade skin exfoliant (skin scrub) of sea salt and honeyWhilst traveling the cosmetic aisle, you will be overwhelmed by the plethora of options for making your feet feel smooth and soft. There are many store-bought products that will work wonders for your skin, but there are great ways to make homemade versions of your skin necessities.

Through the lovely land of pinterest we came across a fantastic, and extremely simple, recipe for a Sugar and Honey foot scrub.

You will only need Honey and granulated Sugar!

  1.  Pour about 1 Tbsp of Honey into a small container.
  2. Add a Tsp of Sugar (at a time) until a good and scrub-like consistency.
  3. Mix and apply to feet.

The granulated Sugar is a fantastic exfoliant, offering smaller granules than salt. Rubbing these sugar particles on the skin helps to remove the excess and dead skin cells from the face, leaving room for new growth and stopping pore build up. Sugar is also less likely to dry out your skin, allowing the skin to retain the majority of its natural oils.

Honey is a natural humectant, which brings moisture to this skin allowing it to stay soft. Honey is also known to help speed the healing process, making it a great choice for a foot scrub.

It is suggested that you only use once every week or two in order to not aggravate your skin. Please discontinue use and consult your dermatologist if you experience any adverse reactions to the scrub use.
