Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a hair removal procedure during which a probe slides into hair follicles, delivering a current which destroys the hair growth cells. Electrolysis is not a one-time treatment. One can expect to see results after the initial appointment, and more improvements over the course of several treatments. Treatments can be done between 1 week and 6 weeks apart and appointments range between 15 minutes and an hour depending on the area of the body being treated.
Before treatment, stop all waxing, depilatory products and waxing. Shaving or trimming should be done no closer than three days before your electrolysis hair removal procedure. While some patients report slight pain during treatments, most characterize it as more of a quick warming or stinging sensation. While you will need several sessions, the results of electrolysis are permanent and will mean not having to worry about waxing or shaving again.
