Neal T. Foley, MD, FACS

Dr. Neal T. Foley, M.D., is a Board Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Foley graduated from Northwestern University, where he received a B.A. in Biology, and the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. 

He completed all of his surgical training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, under Dr. Michael E. DeBakey. He did a five-year residency in general and vascular surgery, a two-year residency in thoracic surgery, and a one-year fellowship in cardiovascular surgery. After finishing this eight-year post-medical school residency, Dr. Foley was given a faculty appointment with the Department of Surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Foley has been in private practice for over 30 years. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He has been re-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery effective December 2015. He has maintained a special interest in vascular and venous disorders and is pleased to offer his expertise and knowledge to his patients at the Austin Vein and Vascular Clinic.

Dr. Foley is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the Michael E. DeBakey International Surgical Society. He was listed as one of the “Top Doctors 2006” by Texas Monthly Magazine in December 2006.
