How Does Exilis™ Work?
During the procedure, the sound waves heat fat cells to the point that they break down. Over the weeks or months following treatment, patients will notice the fat slowly dissolve and the skin tighten. First, the energy causes collagen remodeling. This thickens the second layer of the skin, helping plump fine lines and wrinkles. Second, the energy deeply heats the tissue, causing contraction of the deeper planes which leads to tightening of the skin, thus reducing skin folds and sagging.
Where Can You Treat?
Exilis™ can be used to treat both the face and the body. On the face we can tighten skin around the eyes, on the chin, near the mouth, and on the neck. On the body, it can reduce fat and boost collagen on the thighs, buttocks, stomach, hips, arms, and back altogether providing skin tightening here in Austin.
How Long Does A Treatment Take?
Each Exilis™ treatment lasts just under an hour. A series of treatments is needed in order to see the best results.
Is The Treatment Painful?
There should be no pain associated with the treatment, but you will feel a warming sensation as it targets your body. The applicator will offer a cooling sensation to the outer layer of your skin, which helps keep the patient comfortable during the treatment.
When Will I See Results From My Exilis™ Treatment?
Patients can expect improvement in superficial and deep wrinkles and a minimizing of skin sagging and laxity. While the treatment is rather new, the results show that the results have lasted for the people who have undergone the treatments.
Will There Be Any Downtime?
There is no downtime after undergoing Exilis™ body treatment. You may notice some pink or redness to your skin for the 30 minutes following treatment, but nothing that will be painful or require downtime.
