If you’re unhappy with the appearance of a double chin, you may find the new solution of KYBELLA™ to be an attractive option. This injectable is FDA-approved to reduce submental fullness, or excess fat below the chin. The treatment is effective due to its active ingredient deoxycholic acid, which naturally occurs in the body to help metabolize fat. When injected this dissolves the excess fatty tissue, creating a more toned chin appearance. Traditionally, this fat reduction was only possible through more invasive procedures like liposuction or neck lift surgery, but KYBELLA™ has proven to offer beautiful contouring results without the need for surgery.
KYBELLA™ Procedure
Prior to your KYBELLA™ procedure, you will have the option to receive a numbing agent to minimize potential discomfort. One of our experienced dermatologists will then carefully administer the injection with a very fine needle. The entire process is relatively quick, taking about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. For optimal fat reduction results, your doctor may recommend undergoing a series of two to four treatment sessions, depending on the extent of your needs.
Results from the procedure are long lasting, if not permanent. Once you have completed the recommended number of KYBELLA™ treatments, you shouldn’t need any additional sessions in the future.
