Cutera: Excel V™
Laser rejuvenation treatments are some of the most sought after cosmetic procedures available. Among these treatments, many are often in search of a successful vein treatment. Although there are other options, laser treatment offers a non-invasive method for spider veins, telangiectasia, and more.
How Does Excel V™ Work?
The Cutera Excel V™ laser utilizes light energy to target the visible veins beneath the surface of the skin. Once the energy reaches the vein it is able to break down the visible vein, which is then naturally absorbed by the body.
How Long Will Treatment Take?
The length of an Excel V™ depends on the size of the treatment area, though most treatments take 10 to 12 minutes.
Is Treatment Painful?
Patients have likened the feeling of treatment to a slight sting or similar to the snap of a rubber band on the skin. The Excel V™ offers a simultaneous cooling sensation to offset the feeling of the laser on the skin.
Is There Any Downtime?
Due to the nature of the treatment, there is a chance for redness, swelling, or bruising. These symptoms will dissipate over time, and most feel back to normal around 48 hours after the procedure. It is suggested that the patient wear a compression stockings after procedure, for up to 72 hours, to insure the permanence of the procedure.
