Radiesse® Candidates
Radiesse® is appropriate for most patients who want to improve the appearance of nasolabial folds – those moderate to deep facial creases and wrinkles that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. It can be used together in other areas of the face and body. Once you and your healthcare professional have discussed your medical history and cosmetic goals to determine if Radiesse® is right for you, your treatment will be scheduled. Full correction only takes a few minutes, and you can be on your way with minimal if any recovery time.
Radiesse® is safe. It is FDA approved and has undergone rigorous safety testing. Your dermatologist will talk with you, though, about the possibility of temporary, mild side effects. You may experience some redness, bruising, or swelling that should resolve within a few days. Tell your doctor if you’re concerned about discomfort during or after treatment. Radiesse® is FDA approved to combine with lidocaine, a local anesthetic that can be used to make the procedure much more comfortable.
