Employee Spotlight: Mallory!
Mallory could be considered a Jacqueline of all trades at Sanova Dermatology! She originated as an Administrative Assistant, helping with the scheduling and check-ins/outs. She has since then moved to the back as a Medical Assistant and continuously blows us away with her knowledge and patience! She has the ambition to become a Physician Assistant and plans to attend PA school in 2015. Here is a recap of a quick chat that we had together, which will shed a little more light on Mallory!
- What is your favorite thing about the office?
I love the people I work with from the administrative side to the back office to our doctors. - How does it feel to have gone from an administrative role to an MA?
The transition from an administrative role to MA has been a very exciting change for me. Personally, the role has helped me towards achieving my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. - What is one interesting thing about your job that you don’t think someone may know?
Being an educator. I have the daily privilege of educating people on various topics like the importance of sunscreen, daily skin care, and exciting cosmetic procedures. - What are your aspirations with Sanova Dermatology, and beyond?
I started out working front desk at Sanova Dermatology trying to work towards my goal of becoming a PA. It is amazing to see how much our clinic has grown and I look forward to the continued growth. Since my first day of work in August 2013, I have transitioned to the position of MA. This transition has aided me on my journey to becoming a PA and I have my first PA school interview next week. - What is your favorite part of your job?
I love coming to work. I enjoy seeing establish patients and making connections with new patients. - What do you like to do in your free time?
I spend most of my free time outside. I love going on hikes with my dogs and spending time in my garden. I also spend a fair amount of time going to live performances such as live music, plays, musicals. Also I spend time reading every evening.
