Sublime Skin Tightening

Tight and toned is sometimes the mantra when it comes to facial rejuventation. This also can extend beyond the face to troublesome areas like the neck and jawline. With age the elastin in the skin can break down, causing the skin to sag. Neck laxity is a common aesthetic concern that is often under treated because of too few solutions beyond surgery. Sublime skin tightening offers a chance to restore and tighten the skin with a non-invasive procedure.

sublime_logoHow Does Sublime Work?

Part of the Elos Plus multi platform laser system, Sublime utilizes radio-frequency and light energies to target the dermal tissue,” shares Dr. Miriam Hanson, a board certified Dermatologist and cosmetic expert and Sanova Dermatology in Austin, Texas. These energies combine to heat the treatment area, which in turn stimulates collagen production within the skin. “Patients should notice a tighter and more defined appearance to the treated areas,” notes Dr. Hanson. This procedure is a great compliment to dermal fillers, Kybella double chin removal and the Nefertiti lift, procedures that are all able to give greater definition and contour to jawline and the neck.

Is It Painful?

The Sublime treatment does not require any numbing, and patients feel only a warm heat sensation on the skin. “Patients often say that this treatment is very calming, like a warm massage over the skin,” says Dr. Hanson.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

“Many patients will see skin tightening after one procedure, however we typically recommend a series to get the best results,” Dr. Hanson says. Often four treatments are considered a good standard number of treatments, although packages can be altered to meet the needs of each individual.

When Will I Notice Results?

One of the advantages of this treatment is that you will begin to see results immediately after treatment. “It’s a great pre-wedding procedure or right before a holiday party. Patients can leave the office same day seeing a noticeable response.” As patients progress through the series of treatments, more noticeable and durable results are seen.

How Long Will It Last?

Each person’s response to the treatment will be different. “I usually tell patients to expect to see results for about one to three years,” Dr. Hanson explains. As with most cosmetic treatments, there may be a need for maintenance or touch up procedure.
