Kybella will cause the destruction of fat cells in the chin, which means they will no longer be able to store fat. Compared to other procedures, there are few side effects with Kybella, which can include swelling or light bruising. The chin-slimming effects of Kybella won’t be apparent right away, and it can take a few weeks to see the full results of each treatment session. “Patients should expect begin to see results as early as a week after treatment and should anticipate a continued tightening over a 3 month period,” shares Dr. Mamelak. That wait should be worth it. After the desired chin profile is achieved, no additional Kybella treatment should be needed.
