4 Reasons to Consider SkinCeuticals Advanced Corrective Peel

SkinCeuticals Advanced Corrective Peel –you may have heard about it, you may be interested in it. Here are four reasons why this mid-depth chemical peel may be just what you need:

  1. Improves skin texture making it softer and exfoliates surface cells.
  2. Minimizes pores to create smoother looking skin.
  3. Evens out skin tone.
  4. Combats effects of acne and reduces future breakouts.

Is Skinceuticals Advanced Corrective Peel for Me?

The Advanced Corrective Peel is safe for any skin type. “It is specifically formulated to combat the effects of aging and skin discolorations that cause an uneven skin tone,” shares Dr. Miriam Hanson, a board certified Dermatologist and cosmetic expert at Sanova Dermatology.

How Does It Work?

SkinCeuticals Advanced Corrective Peel works by applying an acid solution to the skin surface. “Of course, this is not a dangerous acid,” says Dr. Hanson. “These acids are classified as such due to their pH level and many are naturally occurring.”

The active ingredients in this peel are as follows:

Phenylethyl Resorcinol works to combat discolorations of the skin. The result is a more even skin tone which results in a smoother skin appearance.

Salicylic Acid (beta-hydroxy acid) is great for improving skin tone and has the added benefit of combating acne breakouts.

Lactic Acid (alpha-hydroxy acid) is an exfoliating agent that sloughs off dead surface cells on the skin. This creates a radiate and fresh look that translates into younger looking skin.

The recommended treatment plan includes 4 to 6 treatments administered every 4 weeks.

Complications

As a general rule, light skin peels are very low risk. After effects may include a crusty coating on the skin surface, some redness and tingling. These effects last usually only for a day or two and quickly resolve themselves.
